RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CITRUS SPRINGS MASTER HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION, INC.
Golf Cart Authorization Criteria
THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION is made this, the 12t th day of May 2018, by CITRUS SPRINGS MASTER HOMEOWNER ASSOIATION, INC., a Florida not-for-profit corporation, Board of Directors referred to as the "Board."
WHEREAS, Citrus Springs Master Homeowners Association, Inc. is a homeowners association located in Indian River County, Florida subject to the Declarations of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions, which is recorded in the Official Records of Indian River County, Book 1404, Page 0770, et. seq.; and
1) Upon Motion and a second there of and after being brought up for discussion and finally to vote of the Board, the following Golf Cart Authorization Criteria was approved and adopted by a majority of members of the Board in attendance at the above meeting where a quorum was established:
2) Golf Carts are permissible within the Village complex.
3) Sidewalks are not authorized through ways. The sidewalks within and outside our villages are 5 feet wide. Florida law states sidewalks that are 8 feet wide can be designated for golf cart usage by the local government entity. Therefore golf carts are not authorized on sidewalks within the Villages and Master Common Grounds.
4) Golf Carts may not be operated on common grounds grassy areas: including private property as well as Villages or Master Common Areas.
5) All Golf Carts must be registered at the Master Clubhouse and with the Village Board.
6) Yearly proof of liability insurance must be provided.
7) Golf Carts may not be operated on Village roads or streets by any person under the age of 14.
8) Golf Carts are not authorized between the hours of sunset and sunup.
* Warning: Golf Cart Owners are requested to review Florida Statute: Title XXIII, Motor Vehicles, Chapter 316 as the streets outside our villages are not set up for Golf Cart usage as required by Florida statutes. We do not recommend using Golf Carts on 5th Street SW, Citrus Springs Blvd and Oslo Road aka, 9th Ave streets nor sidewalks. Please refer to "Your Guide to Florida Drive regarding Golf Carts.
